Walking Away from my Funeral Alive

October is also Domestic Violence Awareness month and I would be remised if I didn’t use my voice to speak up for the women who continue to remain vocally crippled from speaking out against DV and physically paralyzed from exiting dangerously abusive situations.

I would like to take this moment to be transparent. I was once that woman with no voice; my vocal ability had been impeded by two hands wrapped around my neck, literally. I have been choked, I’ve had my head slammed on floors, on walls, I’ve had my hair pulled out, I’ve had heavy objects thrown at me, I’ve been scratched, pushed and over powered. I’ve had that same wrist I shared about a month back, twisted to the point where my abuser said he was trying to break it. I use to have bruises so bad that I had to wear long sleeves and high necked shirts in 80 degree weather. I feared for my life. But fearing for my life wasn’t enough. I remember telling one of my best male friends “If I come up missing, please tell my parents who did this”, as if having those conversations weren’t enough.

I remember my last encounter very vividly. It was roughly 3 am, I was pushed so hard in an open field that I fell to the ground, as he told me he was going to catch a charge for "killing a bitch tonight”. I believed him and I knew with certainty he was capable of doing it. Those words pierced my inner most being. It was then that reality crystalized for me and I knew in that very moment, if I couldn’t find the courage and strength to leave this situation for good, my parents would be eulogizing my funeral, closing their 25 year old daughter in a casket.

I am the face of Domestic Violence and I share my story to open minds from judgment, to show that Domestic Violence has no face or educational background. Most sincerely, I share my story in hopes to inspire those who are silently suffering, to show them that there are beautiful new beginnings awaiting those who seek escape. Please I beg of you, find the courage to use your voice.

If you or someone you know are a victim of Domestic Violence, please call National Domestic Violence Hotline. If you don’t have the tools to plan a safe exit, they can help you. 1−800−799−SAFE(7233)

The Difference Between Pipe Dreaming & Goal Getting

I can't emphasize enough how much bravery plays a role in actualizing your goals and making them tangible. I have a client who blessed me with an amazing report yesterday. Her bravery helped her manifest major opportunities. By major, I do mean major and I needed to share this in hopes that it would encourage someone else. It has definitely encouraged me!

This client has been unemployed for 2 months. She did not wish to look for a job in her current city because she was ready to make a move. Major moves. She's an East Coast girl who has always wanted to live in California, yet also considered moving to Dallas because of the appealingly affordable & thriving economy. I encouraged her to apply for jobs in the cities she was interested in and she did. She had been applying for jobs and couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. She considered that maybe she's just dreaming and in a perfect world, sure it'd be awesome to move clear across the country to start a new life and career, however reality was not aligning with her desires. I encouraged her to stay with it. She has been coaching with me for a few months and in this time, we've worked on building confidence and using it to attract our worthiness. Starting with positive thoughts and releasing that energy into the universe to attract the same positivity, amongst working on many other things. We have found some triggers to keep her motivated and focused on the blessing that is waiting for her in the wings.

"But what if I fail?" she would say. My response, "But what if you fly? What if you soar higher than you ever even imagined!? Stick with it, no excuses." Often times, my intuition will show me a vision of a client as their future self and I just knew for certain that if she could just see herself how God show'd me, she would hang in there to reach the reward!

Fast forward to yesterday and she calls me screaming in joy. Not only has she gotten a job interview offer in Dallas, she has two interviews scheduled in California, one of which is paying for her to fly out there on Tuesday of next week. On top of all of that, she also has an interview offer right in the very town she's ready to leave. She was able to attract opportunities in her dream location Cali, but now, she has options in several cities across the entire country! IS THAT NOT AWESOME?  Words cannot express how filled with gratitude I am to share in this precious moment with my client. To be around to see her recognize her potential as actualized power is something I'll never tire of!

We are so powerful beyond measure, that if only we could see ourselves the way that our creator sees us, we would truly know that anything and everything is possible. We would reach for the stars, the universe and all the things that lie in between if we could realize that the only limits we have are the ones we place on ourselves! You see the difference between pipe dreaming and goal getting is bravery. That you would have the audacity to be daring, the willingness to take bold risks, the fearlessness to go after something that others call you crazy for. Now that's the difference between pipe dreaming and goal getting. I salute you, you my dear are friggin awesome!

With Gratitude & love,

Shina

Book Launch Team

Happy Sunday Beautiful Beings!

I am delighted about finally actualizing this book I’ve been working on. I have started the process of creating the content and I meet with a very valuable resource on Monday to get some insight on self publishing (an intelligent, successful woman who has authored and released 2 awesome books).

Here’s the goal. I wanted to revamp my book writing process so that it would be interesting and keep me focused, while allowing you all to be apart of this very special project. I am looking for enthusiastic, energetic, positive people to be part of my Book Launch Team. What is my book launch team? My book launch team consists of supporters who will be engaged during the rest of my book completion! From sneak peaks of content, to giving opinions on book covers and of course getting the very first signed, love copies for the free, free to read before the OFFICIAL drop date in late January 2016!

I am asking you guys for your support and to keep me motivated to follow through with excellence and of course to keep me on track for my deadline! So excited, I can hardly contain myself and although I am super passionate about this project, even the most motivated people in the world still require accountability! This will cost you nothing but a minuscule piece of your time, plus you get a love copy of my first book!

Additionally, if you find yourself interested in any of my services or light coaching packages, I will give you a 15% savings for your first purchase! By no means is signing up for my Book Launch Team a commitment to purchase services; it's just a little extra perk I figured I'd throw in there.

So I cordially invite you to be apart of my Book Launch Team! No matter if I know you well, as an acquaintance or I don't know you at all (yet), will you do me the honors?

Click the button below to shoot me an email with a Subject line that says I'M IN accompanied by a short message about who you are and where you are from!

Thank you so much in advance and I love you all!

Love & light,

Reality Vs What People Really Want us to See

Social sites have conditioned many of us to believe that what we see portrayed on media is someone's actual life. It's teaching us that nobody ever goes through anything, when in actuality everybody goes through stuff. No one is exempt from "shxt happens."  What we see is only one snippet to a complex story. Let's first understand that you could never capture someone's entire life on a social feed. Nope, can't do it. Impossible! Social feeds are like viewing a beautiful, well titled and illustrated front cover (not even the back cover) to a 5 million, 100 thousand and 62 page book. How could you ever possibly know what's going on in the books content just by reading the title and viewing the cover?

People share what they want us to know and usually they want us to know that everything is going well, that things are just fine, they've got all the answers to everything and they've got this journey in the bag! Of course every single day is a flipping sunny one, it never rains in southern California, the peaches always grow real sweet in Georgia, and the oranges never ever get moldy in Florida.  Dude, seriously?

We have to make a conscious effort to understand that what we see on these social sites is a high light reel, spot lighting all the beautiful moments where nothing goes wrong and everything goes as planned. By no means am I saying anything is wrong with this (I find it special that people enjoy sharing parts of their lives with others, plus I really don't wish to read or see posts about drama or any other low vibration unless you are soliciting love and light to get in a better mind space). Essentially, what I am saying is we should always remember that we are all human beings and no matter how golden and glittery someone's life looks on social media, they go through things just like the next person, just like you do too. Don't find yourself comparing, talking yourself out of your greatness and your own dreams because you are too focused on what someone else is doing to realize what you are capable of! We are all living, loving and walking the "learn & grow" as L. Hill says.

Reminding ourselves that every human being on this planet is fighting a battle that is completely invisible to us, allows us to feel a great deal of compassion for humanity as a whole. If we all worked on judging less, and loving more, what would we be capable of? Maybe this is just me and my fanciful hopes and chimeras, hoping one day I'll be sitting around a camp fire making s'mores, singing kumbaya with the very people wasting energy disliking me (no that wasn't a dig, I'm just being real). But I digress, as thats a bit off topic.

I say all of this to say, recognize the highlight reels for what they are. Celebrate the highlights of someone else's life all the same as you want them to celebrate yours. Just don't get caught up in making assumptions and allowing these assumptions to make you feel like your life is not good enough because it's imperfect. Your life is YOUR life and God gave it to you for you to live it, not to squander it trying to get someone else's.

Be love, be light, be life conscious!

From Shame to Shameless, Shambles to Purposed

Welcome to the rest of the best days of our lives! Especially yours, and mine! Be Light with Shina, LLC, is me living my dream of spreading loving and healing energy to every single human being I come in contact with. It feels like I've been working on my purpose for most of this lifetime, and the truth is, I have. You see, everything I've been through until now has prepared me for this exact moment. For every time all I saw were broken pieces, disappointments, frustration, hurt, discord, loss, and emptiness, it was preparation for me to share a special healing energy that could only come from a place of humble experience.

Purpose doesn't just show up on our door step wrapped in a pretty bow saying "Here I am!" Every life occurrence we face is an intricate piece to our Personal Purpose Puzzle, preparing us bit by bit for purpose alignment. I must say, I am most thankful for the difficult days of my life, as they have given me incomparable wisdom and made me courageous enough to live fearlessly.

I want to thank you, yes you, for sharing this moment with me. I thank God, the Angels, my sister in the afterlife, and all my supporters for believing in me way before I knew for certain I believed in myself. My gratitude counter is off the charts; I feel so blessed and elated to continue my journey spreading loving & healing energy and light wherever I go!

Xo,

Shina

Set your Intentions

Intention - an aim or plan; an act or instance of determining mentally upon some action or result; purpose.
Your intentions will determine what you attract and accomplish. They are responsible for the results you get out of your endeavors, your relationships, your career and basically everything pertaining to life! Without intentions, your life can lead you in any direction without your permission! Always set your intentions, be clear on what you want the outcome to be in EVERYTHING and the fruit you produce will align with all the things you ever imagined! BE INTENTIONAL!
Be love. Be light. Be life conscious!

Allow Love to be a Habit

When your disposition is love, negativity doesn't move you. ❤️
The world instantly seems so much *lighter* 🔆 when you are coming from a place of love. That is because love is one of the highest frequencies you can emit.
Spread love continuously, and negativity will dissipate. Love and negativity occupying the same space would be like darkness & light occurring at the same time. They don't. One will always drive away the other!
Be love. Be light. Be life conscious!

Grow with it!

Growth- the process of developing or maturing physically, mentally or spiritually; the process of increasing in amount, value or importance
To come out of your comfort zone can be challenging. Knowing that growth can only occur if you are willing to press the envelope, is a powerful thought to keep in your back pocket. If you start to feel anxiety associated with coming out of your comfort zone, combat it with love and just GROW WITH IT. The rewards of going and growing out of your comfort zone will be far greater than any discomfort you experience along the way!
Just grow with it!

Unapologetic

When you are comfortable being yourself, you won't fall victim to social ploys to make yourself more appealing or to gain popularity. You'll understand that who you are as an human being is enough to attract those who will be impacted by your light. All I've ever wanted to do was help people. It's funny that in the natural process of being "myself", it's most easily free flowing. You can't put a price tag on authenticity. The best gift you can give to yourself is allowing YOU to be YOU!
